David is a CPA with 19 years of experience. He has significant experience providing tax compliance and consulting services to large growing companies. David has extensive experience with various manufacturing, retail, construction, real estate development, banking, telecommunications, computer software and hardware, broadcasting, life insurance and other large corporations and conglomerates with sales ranging in excess of $ 1 billion.
He has also consulted with these domestic companies, many with international operations and needs, to reduce all types of tax including federal and state income tax, international tax, sales tax, property tax and excise taxes and the effects on each entities tax and business based on the effects of various tax acts including the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004.
His experience includes consultation on a wide array of issues including multi-state taxation, methods of accounting for inventories, inventory capitalization rules, fixed asset depreciation, alternative minimum tax, methods of accounting differences between book and tax, forms of doing business, and all other phases of consulting and compliance including consolidated filing issues, mergers and acquisitions, international tax, employee benefits, co-operative taxation, spin-offs, not for profit 501(c) (3) entity taxation, issues relative to a life insurance/nonlife insurance consolidated group and year round tax planning. He has also worked with start up companies as well as companies positioning themselves for initial public offerings.
David has had extensive experience working with large multi-national companies in computing deferred taxes under FAS109 and complying with all tax reporting requirements under FASB and PCAOB standards. David graduated in April 1986 from Brigham Young University with Masters of Accountancy-Taxation/Bachelor of Science-Accounting degrees.
